IV Infusion Bottle/Bag Washing Recycling Line

Polytec disposable plastic IV infusion bottles and bags washing recycling line adopts modular design can provide a customized solution according to customer requirements. The pure PP scraps after washing can be used to make pellets through our pelletizing line.

Disposable Plastic IV Infusion Bottle/Bag Washing Recycling Line (Capacity: 500 kg/h)

  1. Introduction

Raw Material:

  1. IV Infusion Bag

(1) Body --- Medical grade PP (Polypropylene).

(2) Stopper --- Usually, there are two kinds. The first is made of  polyisoprene rubber, about 80%. And the other is made of  foamed polyurethane, about 20%.

(3) Tag --- Paper and glue.

(4) Sewage --- Residual liquid medicine and paper pulp.

(2) Port --- Medical grade PP (Polypropylene).

According to laws and regulations in China, the used disposable plastic IV infusion bottles and bags are not medical waste as long as they are not contaminated by the patient's blood, body fluids, or excrement, and no need to be managed as medical waste. When used for other purposes, the principle of not harming human health should be followed.

  1. Production Process

▼IV Infusion Bottles -- Crushing -- Separation of Rubber (sinking into the water) -- Separation of Rubber (floating on the water) -- PP Scraps -- PP Pellets

▼IV Infusion Bags -- Crushing -- Separation of Rubber (sinking into the water) -- Separation of PP/PE Composite Film  -- Separation of Rubber (floating on the water) -- PP Scraps -- PP Pellets

After the IV infusion bottles and bags are collected, the first step is manual screening to filter out the impurities, such as needles, colored bottle caps, etc. and separate the IV infusion bottles and bags for individual processing. The screened IV infusion bottles or bags can be fed into crusher directly. During crushing water is added  so the residual liquid medicine will flow into the following process  for centralized discharge and collection. Mixed scraps after being cleared of paper tag and glue enter the floating washing machine to separate rubber sinking into the water. By using the horizontal centrifugal de-water and the hot-air dryer, scraps become dry and move to the Negative Pressure air Separator (national patented technology). It is mainly used to separate the body of the infusion bag from the port of the bag and the accuracy rate is about 99.5%. If there still remaining foamed polyurethane, we can use the High-voltage Electric Field Material Separator (national patented technology) to separate PP scraps from them. The accuracy rate is about 95% when the material passes through the separator once. When the material passes twice the accuracy rate will be more than 99%.
